Steps for Abstract Submission

Here are the instructions for submitting your abstract for ASSICON 2027 Jaipur:
- * Log on to the ASSICON 2027 Jaipur website.
- * Click on the "Abstracts Submission Section."
- * You will need to create a profile on the ASSICON 2027 official Oxford Management Abstract
Portal and verify your email ID.
- * Upon verification of your email ID, you will be redirected to the abstract submission
form.
- * Please read the general guidelines carefully.
- * Select the appropriate presentation category.
- * Click on the topic category in which you want to submit the abstract.
- * Now, upload your abstract.
- * Once it is uploaded, press the "Submit" button on the screen.
- * Your abstract has been successfully uploaded only if you receive a dialogue box on the
screen stating, "Abstract has been submitted successfully."

General Guidelines
At ASSICON 2027, the organizers wish to encourage more delegates to present their work. With
this in mind, abstracts can be submitted for submission in 11 broad categories. The best
abstract will be selected for presentation at the VTI Gold Medal paper session.

Rules:
- Abstract submission can ONLY be done through the
ASSICON 2027 Website.
- Both registered delegates and prospective delegates
are allowed to submit abstracts.
- Registered delegates and prospective delegates need
to create a profile on the ASSICON 2027 website.
- The same paper cannot be submitted for presentation
in two different categories.
- A delegate can make only 1 presentation in each
category.
- Only the lead author of the paper can make a
scientific presentation at ASSICON 2027.
- Presenting author and no one else from the team
gets a certificate for presentation.
- The names of the authors and the lead author cannot
be changed after submission.
- Please do not mention name of author or institution
anywhere in the abstract or else, it will mean automatic disqualification.
- The submitted scripts will be reviewed by a panel
of experts in a blinded and coded fashion; ASSICON 2027 Scientific Committee will intimate
the delegate about the acceptance or rejection of the paper.
- The decision of the scientific committee is final
regarding selection of your abstract for presentation at the conference.
- The ASSICON 2027 Committee reserves the right to
withdraw a paper at any time.

1. ASSI VTI Gold Medal Award – Submission Guidelines
- 1. Only ASSI members are eligible.
- 2. Only unpublished (as on the date of abstract submission deadline) original research is
eligible. Review articles and case reports are not permitted.
- 3. A full manuscript must be submitted along with the abstract.
- 4. Papers previously presented at ASSI conferences (e.g., ASSICON, ICS) are not eligible.
- 5. Each candidate is allowed to present only one paper for the competition.
- 6. The submitted research must have valid approval from a registered Institutional Review
Board (IRB)/Ethics Committee.
- 7. Papers found to contain plagiarism will be rejected.
- 8. If the submitted paper is selected for any other ASSI Award simultaneously, it will be
automatically withdrawn from consideration for the VTI Gold Medal.
- 9. If any false declaration is identified in the submitted undertaking, the paper will be
rejected, and punitive action will be taken against the author and co-authors.

2. Free Paper Podium Presentation
There will be session based awards “BEST FREE PAPER OF THE SESSION AWARD”
Scientific research that you have conducted can be presented as Free Papers. If the paper is
selected, then you will get an opportunity to make a podium presentation of your work at
ASSICON 2027
The reviewers of the Free Papers score the papers based on various criteria. Papers
competing in the VTI Gold Medal Paper session are required to submit full paper. Not
submitting Full Paper will result in disqualification of the paper from VTI Gold Medal Paper
Session.

- Submit Abstract (400 words) in plain text format.
- The abstract should be structured as title,
introduction, materials & methods, results and conclusions. It should include five keywords.
- Topic Categories
- Indicate which one of the categories the paper
may be included:
- o Degenerative Spine
- o Infections / TB
- o Trauma
- o Spinal Deformity - Scoliosis / Kyphosis
- o Cervical Spine / Craniovertebral Spine
- o Minimal Invasive Spine Surgery
- o Basic Sciences
- o Metabolic / Osteoporosis
- o Complications
- o Innovations / Technology
- o Miscellaneous
- It is mandatory for the author/s to submit on
demand a Master chart of study data to ASSICON 2027 Scientific Committee. The master chart
should be verified and countersigned by the Head of Department in cases where the work has
been done in a teaching institute or when the manuscript is a multi-centre study. Failure to
produce the Master chart may invite disqualification.

3. Video Podium Presentation
At ASSICON 2027, we will be running an OPEN Theatre where videos made by delegates will be
presented by the delegates. The videos must highlight routine or innovative procedures,
newer technique or even examination of a patient.
The videos will be reviewed by our reviewers. The 4 best videos will be selected for
presentation in the Best Video Competition at ASSICON 2027. The rest of the selected videos
will get a presentation during the open theatre session.

- Both a written abstract and a video must be
submitted for evaluation.
- Written abstract must explain what the video is
aiming to demonstrate (150 words).
- Manufacturer’s demo videos are not allowed and will
mean automatic disqualification.

Technical specifications for the video file are as follows:
- File format: .mp4
- Duration: Maximum 8 minutes
- The 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio is preferred.
Please edit in the native format of your camera if you can. 4:3 is acceptable. However,
please do not “stretch” your video.
- The maximum video size allowed as an abstract is
500 mb
- Patient Privacy: Identifying information, including
patients' names, initials, or hospital numbers, must not appear. This typically happens in
pre and post-operative radiographs, and MRIs. Written consent must be obtained from each
person appearing in the work.

4. Interesting Case or Innovative Idea Podium Presentation
An interesting case / series of cases either because it is an unusual presentation or an
unexpected outcome or innovatively treated is ideal for presentation during this session. If
selected, you will get a podium presentation to highlight your case. The best presentations
will be selected for the BEST CASE session at ASSICON 2027.

5. Present Your Publication Session
This is a new session in which you can present your published work about which you can be
proud of. The published work must not be presented in any previous ASSICON or at National /
International / Conferences.

Rules:
- The article has to be published in a pubmed indexed
journal between August 20, 2025 to July 15, 2026
- Abstract, full text pdf as well as pubmed citation
should be submitted.
- Submission of all the details will be online only
on ASSICON 2027 website

6. E-Poster Session:
An E-poster is a short PowerPoint presentation detailing your scientific work. At ASSICON
2027, your PPT will be uploaded onto computers at the conference venue and will be open for
viewing by delegates during the course of the conference.
Judges will select the 5 best posters. The lead author of these posters will get an
opportunity to make a 2 min presentation to the judges at the poster display area. There
will be an award for Best Poster.
All posters carry the same weightage as Free Papers. Poster presenters will receive an
acknowledgement certificate from ASSICON 2027.

Criteria for Disqualification:
Automatic disqualification occurs if:
- Disclosure of author(s) name(s) or affiliation(s)
directly or indirectly anywhere in the text of the paper.
- Previously published study
- Papers previously presented in ASSICON.
- Plagiarized / doctored study.
